Say goodbye to those perfect ears. Little Wren sometimes thinks she’s the boss of Topaz, and tonight chased her away from a chair. Wren lost the ensuing altercation. One ear got a couple of good scratches which I didn’t notice right away after I broke up the scuffle. An hour later they were hanging out calmly (though briefly) a few feet apart. I was more traumatized by it than they were. I’m grateful it wasn’t bad enough for a vet visit and I hope Wren learned her lesson. All is calm in the house now, all is bright. I’m grateful for all of our capacity for letting go.
You scared the heck out of me when I read the first line knowing what tittle was. “Let it go, and say goodbye to those perfect ears.” Whew, thought for a moment we lost Wren. I had to read it twice just to make sure everything was okay.
